1. Faster Way to Peel Garlic
Does the dish you’re going to cook require a lot of fresh garlic? Pop a bulb into the microwave and set it on high for 20 seconds. Garlic peel comes off easily this way. This tip works for squash, too, but put it in for 3 minutes.
2. Lemon Essential Oil or Juice for Washing Fruits and Veggies
Put in a few drops of lemon essential oil or juice in the water you’re going to use to wash your fruits and vegetables. The juice or oil helps strip off the waxy residue left over by pesticides.

Make your own herb mixes by buying fresh herbs from the market, microwaving them at home (place them on a paper towel and heating them using your microwave’s high setting for 1 minute) until they’re dry, then finally crushing and mixing them according to your taste.
